Media Mantra

***Vice President Mike Pence stood on his principles and walked out when some football players kneeled during the National Anthem. The media has gone nuts, calling it a "stunt."  Never mind that what Pence did is completely in line with everything he and Trump ran on. The media doesn't like it, therefore they have to tear him down.

Rush Limbaugh: "This behavior is entirely consistent. If you publicly are going to disrespect the flag and everything associated with it, if you’re gonna publicly disrespect the national anthem and the people who wear the military uniform, you are going to be pushed back against. And this is the first time that’s happened in I don’t know how long. There was no push-back during the Bush administration. Of course push-back in the Obama administration, the push-back was on the part of the American people.

But you’re right, Trump and Pence are behaving entirely consistent with their message and with their promises. Again, look, I’m redundant saying this, because I imagine some of you were nervous. How many of you wish Pence wouldn’t have walked out? This is what push-back looks like. This is what them not getting their way looks like, folks. This is what you voted for. This is what they not owning the narrative looks like. And they’re not just gonna be docile while the push-back happens."

The Left just cannot stand it that there is someone in the White House they have no control over. Everybody who knows me knows Trump was my last pick in the field of Republicans, but I do admire how he doesn't roll over and apologize whenever the Left attacks him. Too many Republicans do.

My wife, a phlebotomist at the Denver VA hospital, entered a patient’s room to draw blood. Noticing an apple on his nightstand, she
remarked, “An apple a day keeps
the doctor away, right?”
“That’s true,” he agreed. “I haven’t seen a doctor in three days.”

***He hid it WHERE??

A man has been arrested by Sri Lankan customs authorities after being spotted attempting to smuggle, with "difficulty", close to a kilo of gold hidden in his rectum.
The 45-year-old India-bound passenger was seen behaving "suspiciously" in the departure lounge of Colombo airport, spokesman Sunil Jayaratne said.
"He was called for a thorough screening after customs officers noticed him walking with difficulty and appearing to be in pain," Mr Jayaratne said.
A close examination revealed the man was hiding 904 grams of gold wrapped in black plastic sheets, including seven yellow "biscuits" and six chains, he said.
Okay then.

***Here's a fun fact:
Bananas are radioactive. They contain radioactive potassium-40. In fact, scientists use a concept called BED or Banana Equivalent Dose as a base measurement to compare other radiation sources.
Other radioactive foods include: brazil nuts, potatoes, kidney beans and sunflower seeds. High radiation foods such as bananas and brazil nuts regularly cause false alarms on radiation sensors used to detect possible illegal smuggling of nuclear material at US ports.
 Now you know. :-)

***Gorgeous. Wish we could get some color in Indiana! Not much this year.
